About Us
Founded by Nieves Torbado and Eduardo Moreno in 2021 the agency has always focused on bringing new perspectives into the world, taking part in the ideation and prototyping of future-oriented concepts with a special interest in the convergence between physical and digital spaces.Guided by thoughtful curation, CASA REFRESHMENT charts a course toward a future that honours tradition and embraces innovation. Essential to each project is the design of the production process itself, with the aim of creating environments that enhance sensation, generate spectacle and invite engagement.The agency works across various sites, scales and styles. From furniture design and urban interventions to small-scale architectural projects, with schemes for the public sector and for private clients. Brands and institutions have always appreciated our non-conventional attitude and our determination to create one-of-a-kind solutions that blend strategy and beauty. Selected clients: Jamie Perlman, Vyrao Perfumes, Light by HaberdasheryCASA REFRESHMENT was the winner of the Entrepreneurial Ideas in Rural Areas Competition in 2021 and our work is part of the permanent collection of España Artesana. We are currently working on public commissions for the local government. The ongoing project is exploring innovative and participatory design solutions to reactive the public realm in rural areas. This follows previous projects with the Deputy Government of Extremadura and taking part in the EU's Circular Economy Action Plan.
Work
CASA REFRESHMENT explores new narratives intersecting contemporary design, craft and innovative technological research. The projects start with an immersive session that brings clients, designers and artisans together to exchange ideas, techniques, and inspirations. This meeting of physical and digital is one that carries through the entire process, in which the resulting pieces are a testament to the ability for heritage craft and technology to co-exist and thrive.
